Rodeo Faces 1

I’m exhausted after a weekend of shooting the Dripping Springs Rodeo. This was the innaugural rodeo in the town’s newly-built event center and it was a huge success with standing room only crowds on Saturday night.

I was shooting for the rodeo organisers and had access to anywhere I wanted to go. I used this to spend my time “back stage” shooting the people and happenings that are usually off-limits to attendees. I’m still in the process of going through the images I took but I’ve pulled out a series of “Rodeo Faces” shots showing people involved in the event and will run these this week.

Today’s face, whose name I don’t have (I don’t claim to be a journalist but I should have written these folks’ names down -sorry! If you see yourself or someone you know this week, leave a comment and I’ll update the post) was one of the arena tractor drivers responsible for keeping the dirt smooth and level during the weekend.
