Caswell Kitchen

I reckon it’s time to get all Christmasy so here’s a shot from this year’s “Christmas at the Caswell House”, an annual fundraiser from Austin Junior Forum. During the event, the whole lower two floors of the organisation’s headquarters (a historic building in downtown Austin) is transformed by many thousand Christmas decorations.

I’ve been fortunate enough to get into the event just before it opened for the last few years. All the decorations are on sale so, for maximum impact, you want to visit as soon as possible after the show opens.

This shot departs somewhat from the rest (more of which I will no doubt post later) in that it shows a display in the kitchen. I’ll ramp up the decoration density in later images, though.
