Engineering skills are put to the test in late January each year when Pack 101 holds its annual Pinewood Derby. The boys make cars that must meet various size and weight criteria, then race them down an inclined track to determine whose is fastest. Trophies are awarded to the fastest car in each rank and also to the overall winners.
