Last Wednesday afternoon, I was asked to shoot some publicity photos for a visiting wind quintet, The City of Tomorrow. Given their name and the fact that they were interested in modern architecture, we opted to hold the shoot at Austin City Hall, a fascinating new building in the heart of downtown. Part of the complex is a performance and gathering area covered by an array of solar panels and, with the sun in the right direction, you get some great angles and shadows there. This is a shot I took as a test before the musicians arrived.
