During my day in Saratoga last week, I spent some of my free afternoon hiking around the extensive grounds of the Montalvo Arts Center. One of the large-scale outdoor sculptures there caught my eye and is the subject of a couple of this week’s photographs.
This piece by sculptor Ann Weber is entitled “O California, Best Beloved Land” and I was drawn to the great texture in the metal bands and in the way the light wrapped around the curved structure.
