Notre Dame from the Left Bank

The cathedral of Notre Dame seen from a viewpoint on Paris’ Rive Gauche just across the road from the wonderful book store, Shakespeare and Company. While in Paris, it was interesting to note how reading and literature appear to be held in greater public esteem there than over here in the US. On the metro, you will see many people reading novels and the Pantheon and Montparnasse Cemetery both seem to be chock full of dead authors.
