Spinning Machine, New Lanark

I spent a very enjoyable day shooting with Antonio Marques during our trip back to Scotland. I’ve known Antonio for several years through being a guest and host on his podcast, PhotoNetCast, but we had never managed to get together in person until this trip. I’m pleased to report that he is as pleasant in person as he sounds in the podcast.

We spent our day at New Lanark, a World Heritage Site just a couple of miles from where I was brought up. It features a beautifully restored 18th century mill complex containing, among many other exhibits, this working spinning machine.
