This is the view from the location you saw in yesterday’s image. We visited Colorado National Monument more or less on a whim on the last night of the trip. Half the party had already left to head back to Denver but some of us were flying out of Grand Junction the next morning and, if you’ve ever been to Grand Junction you’ll likely know that there’s not an awful lot to do there other than visit the park. I’m very glad we did go, though, because I ended up with a couple of my favourite shots from the trip as a result of that visit.
