Tackle

Last Friday saw the last home football game of the season for Dripping Springs High School and, as a consequence, the last home performance by the band of their 2014 marching show. They are off to Atlanta for the Bands of America Super-Regional competition next week after which the early morning rehearsals stop and they are into concert season.

It’s been a lot of tun acting as band photographer this year so I’m going to run a few pictures from the last couple of home games this week. The first is one of the rare shots when I pointed my camera towards the game and away from the band. I think this push ended in a touchdown for the Dripping Springs Tigers but they ended up losing the game against Vandegrift High School.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/3.3
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Exposure bias: -3/6EV
  • Focal length: 78mm
  • ISO: 3200
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
