Rabbit Judging at Hays County Show

This is the week of the 2015 Hays County Livestock Show in Dripping Springs and I spent 12 hours of yesterday standing in a very cold (although, admittedly, less cold than last year) arena helping my youngest son wrangle his goat and a couple of pens of rabbits. This shot was taken during the judging of one of the rabbit classes.

As a side note, this is also the very first picture I’ve posted which was taken on my shiny, new camera. Based on 1 day of use, I’m pretty darned impressed by the Nikon D810 shooting in low light. You can find the rest of my picks from yesterday at http://davewilson.smugmug.com/4-H-Events/Hays-County-Livestock-Show-2015/ once the upload complete. These files are very large!

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4.8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 24mm
  • ISO: 1600
  • Shutter speed: 1/125s
