The downtown Austin skyline is changing pretty dramatically these days. After a three or four year lull in construction activity, things have picked up again with many new high-rise building popping up. On our last photowalk, I counted 6 construction cranes in my skyline panorama when there had been none two years ago. One of the areas with the greatest activity is down around the 6th and Lamar junction where a collection of residential blocks have been built over the last few years. Here’s the view of that area taken from the (also new) Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge over Cesar Chavez Blvd.
For the technically inclined...
Very beautiful buildings, and shot of them.
