Founders’ Day 2015 (1)

This weekend is the annual Founders’ Day celebration in Dripping Springs, Texas so I’ve been spending some time with the camera grabbing shots of the action. The fun starts with a parade on Friday evening followed by two days of arts and crafts fair and the biggest barbecue and chilli competition I’ve ever seen. Folks in this part of the world take their barbecue and chilli very seriously but there will be more of that later in the week. For today, we start with the parade and any decent parade must have at least one person riding a horse. This gentlemen was representing one of the local real estate offices as far as I can remember.

If you are keen to see other photos of the event, you can find my favourite 125 over on SmugMug.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: CORPORATION
  • Exposure bias: +3/6EV
