Jesse James

A few months ago, I mentioned a couple of exciting jobs that I had picked up. The first has just hit the newsstands so I can now post some of the photos from my feature shoot of Jesse James (yes, the Jesse James from “Monster Garage” and West Coast Choppers fame) and his workshop. Jesse is now running a custom firearm company, Jesse James Firearms Unlimited, just outside Dripping Springs and American Shooting Journal asked me to photograph it for a feature in this month’s edition of the magazine.

The picture here ended up on the contents page of the magazine but it was originally considered for the cover. I guess the guy with the assault rifle on a zip line is probably more exciting, though.

American Shooting Journal, May 2015 (interior feature on Jesse James Firearms Unlimited)

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/6.7
  • Camera: CORPORATION
  • Focal length: 27mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/125s

Jesse is one of the guys I follow and look up too. You are lucky to get to do that, I would love to meet him and see how he works/what drives him. A true craftsman.
