Space Needle

I can’t think of any more iconic sight in the city of Seattle, Washington, than the Space Needle seen here from Kerry Park. The 605-foot tower was privately built in only a year in time for the 1962 Worlds Fair. It’s foundation is 30 feet deep and weighs the same as the tower itself to ensure that it can meet its design goal of surviving a magnitude 9.1 earthquake.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: CORPORATION
  • Focal length: 300mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/125s
