Brian Roping

A magazine editor recently asked me to take a picture of Brian Schwiening, a Dripping Springs local who has been very active in the development of the great Ranch Park facilities we now have. Brian practices steer roping with a group of friends on Monday evenings so I caught up with him yesterday. Despite the fact that it was after dark and they were using the outdoor arena with its horrible, colour-changing, mercury vapour lighting I got a few decent shots. Thank you, Nikon for the great high ISO performance of the D810! 🙂

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 200mm
  • ISO: 6400
  • Shutter speed: 1/350s
