In a nail-biting race which saw the lead change a great deal more times than usual in Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes AMG Petronas won the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas yesterday afternoon and, with that victory, clinched the 2015 Drivers’ Championship. His exuberance was demonstrated on the podium when he threw the trophy into the air. In case anyone was worried, he did catch it safely.
