Lewis Hamilton in the Rain

I’ve always tended to consider motorsport as a “colour only” subject. With the bright car and bike liveries and great trackside red, white and blue stripes at Circuit of the Americas, most scenes just scream for colour output. To mix things up a bit, though, I decided to do some black and white processing on some of the shots I took on the two wet days of US Grand Prix weekend and I’m rather happy with the results. Here’s one of Lewis Hamilton going round turn 18 during FP1 on Friday, October 23rd.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 116mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/125s
