Door to the Senate, Texas State Capitol

I used to like taking photos in the Senate Chamber at the Texas State Capitol but then, a couple or years ago, they changed the rules and now ban the use of tripods inside the room. Thankfully, the ban extends only to the chamber doorway and none of the rest of the building is affected. Rumour has it that the ban was instituted after the powers-that-be got annoyed at news crews setting up lots of gear to cover a filibuster.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9.5
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 70mm
  • ISO: 64
  • Shutter speed: 3s
