Nature Challenge – Day 5: Blue Dasher Dragonfly

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is one of my favourite places to visit when I need a fix of macro photography. Their displays attract many different insects and several ponds provide great habitat for several dragonfly species including this Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis).

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: NIKON D90
  • Focal length: 155mm
  • ISO: 640
  • Shutter speed: 1/60s
