Rainy Capitol

I taught an HDR class at Precision Camera yesterday and, as usual, we headed down to the Texas State Capitol for the practical section of the workshop. This proved rather more “exciting” than usual – not only were both house chambers (where we normally shoot) closed due to renovation in the Senate and a youth government conference in the House, but we also had a fire alarm about 30 minutes after we arrived. We evacuated the building and took some exteriors but then cut the visit short because it started raining. Here’s one of the exterior views, taken before I got too many raindrops on the front element of the fisheye!

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9.5
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 15mm
  • ISO: 64
