Leaving Cozumel, Mexico

Looking north along the west coast of the Mexican island of Cozumel as the ship left port during our recent spring break cruise. We’ve spent a couple of holidays on Cozumel and also visited several times while taking cruises and I have a bit of a soft spot for the place. You don’t have time to get a real feel for the island during an 8 hour cruise shore day, though. On this brief visit, we took our normal trip down to the Chankanaab beach park (which has grown enormously in the 15 years since we first went there) and did some snorkeling. No time for diving this time, unfortunately.

Find some more tips on visiting Chankanaab here.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Exposure bias: +3/6EV
  • Focal length: 300mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
