Porsche Wins in Austin

I’m back on my feet again and, to help my recovery along, have just finished two days of shooting the World Endurance Championship in Austin. Porsche car number 1 driven by Timo Bernhard, Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley ended up victorious at the end of a grueling 6 Hours of Austin race held on a day with 100 degree temperatures and hugh humidity (which made the photography rather less comfortable than usual too!). The race lasted from 5pm until 11pm with half in darkness. Here’s a shot of the winning car taken early in the evening.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 400mm
  • ISO: 560
  • Shutter speed: 1/1000s
