A Miata was the first car I owned after moving to Texas back in the mid-1990s so I have a soft spot for Mazda MX-5s. That car, while not at all fast, was great fun to drive because, with the top down and your bum only inches from the ground, you felt as if you were flying when doing about 50mph. I suspect this Miata is rather faster than my old 1992 model, though.
Car 25 from Freedom Autosport was taking part in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge at Circuit of the Americas on Friday, September 16th. When I googled it to find out details, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was also being co-driven by one of several Scottish drivers active that weekend, namely Steven McAleer, along with his team-mate Chad McCumbee.
