Akiko’s King Tut Cake

Yesterday afternoon was the launch of P.J. Hoover‘s latest middle grade novel “Tut: My Epic Battle To Save The World” at BookPeople in Austin. As always, this was a lovely event attended by a bunch of local literary friends. One of the highlights, though, was this cake designed and baked/built by Akiko White. Akiko, who calls herself a “Cakelustrator”, has made a name for herself by producing amazing creations such as this for local book launch parties and it’s always fantastic to see what she will come up with each time we attend one. If you would like to see more of her creations, you can find her at http://akikowhite.com or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/white.akiko/.

Thanks so much Dave! Such a nice post! I love the technically inclined part of your post, because I’m not, but luckily Scott is!
