Pedestrian on The Mall, London

These columns can be found outside two of the majestic buildings lining The Mall in London. This is the wide street that runs from Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square and down which you see various parades and processions on special occasions in Britain. I would have preferred someone with a coloured umbrella in the shot but, while I was there, the only person who ended up in the right position was this chap so he’ll have to do instead.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Focal length: 300mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/180s
