DSMS Tiger Cheerleaders

Back to Dripping Springs Founder’s Day today. My favourite pictures of the parade are usually the ones I take before it starts as all the floats are forming up. The light is better in that part of the town (the parade route has the sun behind the floats for the majority of its distance) and it’s a lot easier to get people to look in your direction when they aren’t busy throwing handfuls of candy at the kids who line the route.

This shot shows the ladies of the Dripping Springs Middle School cheerleading squad on the back of their parade float. You can find more picture from the festivities at https://davewilson.smugmug.com/Miscellaneous/Founders-Day-2017/.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 24mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
