Carlos Sainz Jr., Toro Rosso

This weekend is the Belgian Grand Prix from Spa-Francorchamps and I’m feeling jealous of one of my old schoolmates who is over there attending the race. Of all the races on the calendar, I think Spa is the one that I would most like to visit – great circuit, very picturesque and, being Belgium, excellent beer and food. While I’m stuck in Austin, hunkering down under Hurricane Harvey, though, at least I can post a racing picture from the last Grand Prix I attended. Here’s Carlos Sainz Jr. of Toro Rosso seen during Friday practice prior to last year’s United States Grand Prix at my local track, Circuit of the Americas.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 450mm
  • ISO: 64
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
