Autumn Starburst

We’re just back from 12 hours of photography starting at 6:30am this morning. We had intended the usual trip back to the hotel in the middle of the day but everything was going so well that we just kept visiting locations and taking pictures. The colours up here in New Hampshire are fantastic just now! A fair chunk of the day was spent driving to the summit of Mount Washington. At almost 6300 feet, the view from up there was fantastic though it was definitely windy and chilly. We stopped multiple times on the way up and down to take pictures of trees and here’s one of my favourites, taken into the sun with a fisheye lens.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/16
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 15mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/180s
