Adobe Detail, San Francisco de Assisi Mission Church

The Taos High Road ends at the San Francisco de Assisi Mission in Rancho de Taos. The adobe church here has been made famous through photographs by Ansel Adams and paintings by Georgia O’Keefe. While I’m not suggesting this picture comes anywhere close to Ansel Adams’ quality, here’s a detail of one of the walls surrounding the main church sanctuary.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 300mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/180s
