Brendon Leitch at CoTA T4

I love shooting from this position, standing on the inside of turn 6 looking back through the S curves, at Circuit of the Americas because the trackside red, white and blue stripes make for a great background. Unfortunately, on sunny days, you are shooting directly into the light from here. Although this allows creation of some arty shots, I far prefer it in the morning or on dull days like this one when the cars are cleanly lit from front-left.

Here’s Brendon Leitch of Kiwi Motorsport negotiating turn 4 during pre-race practice for the F4 US Championship on Friday, October 20th, 2017.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/6.3
  • Camera: NIKON D500
  • Focal length: 600mm
  • ISO: 1400
  • Shutter speed: 1/1000s
