Complex Woodwork

The covered bridges we visited in New Hampshire during last October’s NxNW trip were fascinating. I had no idea how complex the interior woodwork would be. Here’s one we found in the town of Bath.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Exposure bias: -1EV
  • Focal length: 15mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/2s

Wow! Don’t think I have ever seen anything like it. Especially something under cover. Do you have any idea of what type of wood it is made of? Thanks

Sorry, I don’t know what wood is used in this construction. You can find more info on the bridge at https://www.nh.gov/nhdhr/bridges/p53.html but it doesn’t mention specific materials.
