Prior to this recent visit, the last time I was down at Space Center Houston was for a Cub Scout camp which allowed me to spend large chunks of the night wandering the exhibits on my own, taking pictures from a tripod. This time, it was a busy Saturday and I had no tripod. I did, however, have a camera that was about 8 years newer than the D700 I was shooting then so it offered a good test of how much sensors have improved during that time. This shot, taken in the very dark Apollo display, was handheld at ISO 4000 and, after a bit of clean-up in Lightroom, looks pretty good.
