Making Paperweights

One of our favourite things to do in Santa Fe is to visit Liquid Light Glass Studio and take a lesson from Cia Thorne or Elodie Holmes. Today, we spent part of the afternoon making paperweights with Cia. I just wish they were closer to home so that I could do a lot more of this! I’ve always loved glass art and it’s a huge amount of fun to take part in the process of creating it (even though, thanks to my inexperience, most of the difficult parts of the process are still handled by the teacher!).

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Exposure bias: -3/6EV
  • Focal length: 15mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/90s
