COTA Tower

Saturday’s ARX racing at Circuit of the Americas occupied the section of track between turns 12 and 16 which left some normally-verboten track areas open to pedestrian traffic. One of those areas was the stars and stripes between turns 18 and 19 which photographers had to cross in the walk between the active track area and the media center so this gave me a great opportunity to snag this shot of the tower with a more interesting foreground than usual.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9.5
  • Camera: NIKON D500
  • Focal length: 31mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/350s
