Tiger Stadium

In an attempt to get something different on Friday night during my regular gig photographing the Dripping Springs High School Tiger Band, I took the Mavic Air out of its case before the game to see how it would handle blue hour above the stadium (actually, next to the stadium since you can’t legally fly over it). I was hoping to catch the pre-game show with the band on the field but, unfortunately, it was cancelled so I got a collection of shots of the mostly-empty field instead. Here’s one, though, which caught the football team as it joined the fray.

For those interested in the technical side of things, this is an HDR created from 5 brackets shot from the drone. The longest exposure was half a second which leaves me very impressed by the capabilities of the camera stabilization system.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: FC2103
  • Focal length: 4.5mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/5s
