Kyle Kirkwood, 2018 F3 Americas Champion

In addition to the main Formula 1 event last weekend, we were treated to support racing from Formula 3 and Formula 4. These feeder series use one-design cars and provided some really exciting racing. F3 is a new series in the US this year so the field of 6 entries was rather small compared to the 30 cars running in F4. It still provided some riveting racing, however, with Kyle Kirkwood, last year’s F4 champion, dominating the weekend and taking his 14th win of the season in Austin.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/16
  • Camera: NIKON D500
  • Focal length: 150mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/30s
