An infra-red view of the impressive canyon at Plaza Blanca near Abiquiu, New Mexico. We visited this location on the advice of a guide at Ghost Ranch, our original planned hike, after discovering that the entire Carson National Forest was closed due to fire risk last summer. Plaza Blanca is on private land, though open to the public, and was not covered by the forest closure.
