Andrea Iannone, MotoGP 2016

I’m delving into the archives again today. Here’s a picture of Andrea Iannone riding for Ducati in the 2016 Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin. This was taken from a fantastic position at turn 6 where, thanks to the MotoGP photographer rules, I could get in front of the debris fence (but behind the armco barrier) and shoot the riders at the apex of the turn from about 20 feet away.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 280mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/1500s
