Lightroom tells me it has been exactly 1 year since I took this photo during a visit to the hummingbird garden at Selvatura Park on our Costa Rica vacation last Christmas. That was a magical trip and the abundance of hummingbirds was definitely a major factor in that assessment! This is a Scaly-Breasted Hummingbird and these were pretty common in the areas we visited.
