We’re just back from a couple of days’ museum hopping in Houston. One of the museums we visited was the fantastic Houston Museum of Natural Science and it’s Cockerell Butterfly Center. I took the camera specifically for the chance to get some great butterfly macros but, on arriving, realised that I had forgotten to pack my extension tubes thus spoiling my plan. In the end, I only took a couple of dozen exposures and here’s my favourite. This shows a Rice Paper Butterfly in front of a display of Christmas lights.
