FRC6357 In Action

The observant among you may notice that I’ve not posted a single new picture in the last 8 weeks. Here’s the reason why – all my free time over those last two months has been taken mentoring the software team on FIRST Robotics Competition team 6357 as they designed and built their robot for this year’s competition, Destination Space.

Their first outing with the (almost finished) machine was this past weekend and they did extremely well, rising in the ranks from 30th after their first game to 5th by the end of the qualification matches. Although they were eliminated in quarterfinals, they went on to win the prestigious Engineering Inspiration Award. Their sights are now set on their next competition up in Greenville, TX after which they will know if they have qualified for the State Championship.
