The grass hill between turns 18 and 19 at Circuit of the Americas paid tribute to Nicky Hayden, American rider who lost his life last year following a bicycle accident, during last weekend’s MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas. Hayden’s 69 race number, retired by MotoGP, was painted on the hill beneath the tower in memory of the popular rider and competitor.
