Rosie the Riveter

Here’s a complete change of tack for this week. I spent Saturday morning down at the Commemorative Air Force Central Texas Wing hangar at San Marcos Airport, taking pictures of the aircraft and also four actors in period costume. Kiersten was Rosie the Riveter and here she is posed in front of a C-47 Skytrain.

This shoot was organized by Precision Camera of Austin and led by well-known wildlife and aviation photographer Moose Peterson. There was also lots of cool Nikon equipment available for loan including the new Z7 mirrorless body and amazing 105mm f/1.4 lens which I used to take this shot.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: NIKON Z 7
  • Exposure bias: -2/6EV
  • Focal length: 105mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/125s
