Shiny Saxophone

As I mentioned yesterday, I spent last weekend down in Houston attending the Houston Underground Saxophone Competition where my son was playing in the finals of the solo contest. It was a fantastic experience and the quality of the playing was truly breathtaking. I’m sure we’ll be back again next year.

While there, I snapped a few pictures (though not too many because we spent most of our time listening to soloists and quartets) including this one taken in the vendor demonstration room.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: NIKON D810
  • Focal length: 125mm
  • ISO: 3200
  • Shutter speed: 1/180s
