Vertical Stabiliser

We’re staying in the Commemorative Air Force hangar in San Marcos today with this detail shot of the vertical stabiliser and rudder of one of the aircraft under renovation there. I hate to admit it, but I didn’t investigate the model. My guess would be a Stearman (it had no wings and I can’t remember whether it was a biplane or not) but maybe someone more observant can correct me?

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D500
  • Focal length: 38mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/350s
