Seaholm at Sunset

Here’s a sunset shot of Austin’s Seaholm development and surroundings. This area of the city has changed dramatically in the last decade or so. The decommissioned Seaholm Power Plant is now at the centre of a collection of residential and commercial high-rise buildings which have reshaped the area just north and east of the Lamar Boulevard bridges. This has always been an area I liked thanks to some well-loved businesses (Amy’s Ice Cream, BookPeople and Wholefoods Market come to mind) but it’s now even more appealing thanks to a large number of new restaurants, a Trader Joe’s store and the amazing new Austin Central Library (which is partially visible at the right of this image).

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: FC2103
  • Focal length: 4.5mm
  • ISO: 104
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
