Pine Siskin

One of the large number of “small brown birds” taking advantage of the feeders at Charro Ranch Park in Dripping Springs, Texas, last weekend. The excellent Merlin bird ID app on my phone tells me that this is a Pine Siskin (Spinus pinus).

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 600mm
  • ISO: 1000
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
