Let’s cross the Atlantic for another series of city images. In June 2014, we traveled back to the UK and spent some time in London. While there, we did what 3 million other tourists each year do and took a trip on the London Eye. I shot some photos and will be posting five of them this week.
The London Eye, or Millennium Wheel, opened in 2000 and is the UK’s most popular tourist attraction. It can be found on the south bank of the River Thames diagonally opposite from the Palace of Westminster. At 443 feet tall, riders get a chance to see some fantastic views of central London and the surrounding area.
For the technically inclined...
Nice shot Dave, I like the angle, curious where you shot that from? Hope you and family are well
Thanks, Mike! As far as I can remember, I shot this as we walked across Westminster Bridge, just south of the wheel. All’s well here so far. Hopefully you and the Empress are doing fine.
