Yesterday’s image was taken in a canyon 30 feet wide and probably 400 feet deep. Today’s was taken about 100 yards downstream in the same canyon but, by that point, the now-dry creek had carved a secondary slot in the main canyon floor. If it wasn’t for the leaves visible on the floor here, you probably wouldn’t realize how cramped this space was. The chamber seen here was about 3 feet across and the slot was no more than 8 feet deep. The great, swirling erosion patterns I discovered here were, however, a pleasant reward for all the crawling and squeezing necessary to get to this little chamber.
