Austin at Dusk, December 2023

My favourite time to photograph skylines is about 30 minutes after sunset when the light levels of the deep blue sky nicely match the illumination of the buildings. Here’s a panorama of downtown Austin I shot on Sunday about half an hour after yesterday’s image.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: FC3411
  • Exposure bias: -1.3EV
  • Focal length: 8.4mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/2s
